This lovely 1974 Fender P Bass was in the workshop for an low setup, as it turned out, years of playing had worn the frets down unevenly, which is quite common with bass guitars. The solution was a fret level, this is done while the neck is under string tension, with only the high frets being filed down to give a level board without removing too much from the frets. Once the frets were level, they were the recrowned and hand polished to allow the low action the owner wanted. |
