This ace Epiphone Explorer was brought into the workshop for a restoration. The previous owner had badly damaged the scratchplate, and although the new owner had tried to refurbish it, a new plate was needed. Epiphone explorer scratchplates are unique and not a stock product, so a replacement one had to be hand cut. |
As well as the new scratchplate, a new nut was needed so a replacement bone nut was hand cut and shaped. The cheap aftermarket machine heads were replaced with upgraded Gotoh ones, giving much better tuning control. Finally the guitar was given a a detail clean and a ultra low setup, ready for it's new owner to enjoy his guitar! |
