This Epiphone SG bass was recently in the workshop for a setup. The neck angle was incorrectly set, this was due to some cardboard shims that had compressed over time, they looked like they had been installed in the factory. They were replaced with a rosewood shim, giving the correct angle, which wouldn't change over years of use!

 | The bridge post was also causing issues as it was lifting, leading to creeping action as the tension of the strings pulled the bridge forward. The bridge was removed then the post was carefully lifted, before being glued and reseated, securing the post. This allowed for the setup to be completed and slightly improved the tone and sustain of the bass too |
