This cool Gordon Smith Les Paul was recently in the workshop to have a set of The Creamery pickups fitted, along with a complete rewire including upgraded CTS pots and Switchcraft toggle switch and jacksocket!
The bridge pickup cavity also had to be opened up to allow the fitting of the new pickup!
The cavity beforehand, the customer had already tried to fit the new humbucker before running into problems as the cavity wasn’t big enough. He gave up and it was brought into us to fit the pickup along with the pre booked wiring.

 | The finished cavity after opening up the ends by hand, to cater for the larger base plate of the new pickup. Once the new pickup was fitted the guitar was completely rewired using CTS and switchcraft components, complimented with Sprague Orange Drop Capacitors . We chose to use metal braided wire to keep the wiring as simple and as tidy as possible! With all the work complete the guitar was restrung ready for the customer to collect! |
