However he unfortunately had problems getting the location of the correct position for the bridge and the guitar wouldn't properly intonate.
The photos below show the bridge when it was currently positioned before the repair, you can clearly see holes from previous position attempt.
The holes for the new bridge position were drilled and the old holes were plugged. They then were stained yellow and finished with a small amount of lacquer to stop any moisture getting into the plugs. Although this work can't be seen as it's underneath the bridge, it will help to preserve the guitar. The new bridge on with the intonation set, it now plays in tune and the end result you would never know that the bridge wasn't originally fitted to the guitar! |
