The original nut had been replaced with an aftermarket premade nut, there was some damage around the nut area which had been caused during it’s installation The old nut was removed, it had been superglued in with a lot of superglue which was carefully removed. The previous installation had also damaged the nut slot when the original nut was removed, so we cut and fitted a shim to balance out the level of the nut slot |
During the nut cutting and fitting process. The end of the fingerboard had slight tearout from the previous installation. We filled the tearout with a mixture of rosewood dust and glue, sorting the damaged area. The new nut fitted and slots cut to depth with the guitar strung up. With the new nut fitted the guitar was setup ready for the customer to enjoy! |
