This stunning USA custom shop Fender Telecaster, previously owned by James Iha of the Smashing Pumpkins was in the workshop to have it’s original high mass bridge fitted along with a setup!

The guitar was brought off James through an official Smashing Pumpkins eBay auction, the person who brought it fitted a standard Telecaster bridge that didn’t match. The new owner brought it into us to have it put back to the way it originally was meant to be!

  |  The previous owner had purchased it from The Smashing Pumkins Ebay auction and for some strange reason, removed the high mass bridge and fitted a traditional tele bridge in chrome. This looked out of place so the customer wanted the gold high mass bridge reinstalled, restoring it back to how James Iha originally had it! Removing the neck as part of the setup to adjust the trussrod, there was a cardboard shim that had been stuck down, this was for the use of the high mass bridge, so was left especially as James or his guitar tech must of installed it! |

As part of the setup, the radius on the bridge saddles was reset to the fingerboard radius to allow an even low action. Once the setup was complete, the guitar was ready for the customer to collect.
